Would you be surprised to learn that water has memory? Would you wonder in amazement to find that water holds a complete library of information about anything it comes into contact with? This information was re-introduced to the scientific community in 1988 by way of French scientist Dr. Jacques Benveniste, who had taken an allergic substance, put it in a container of water, then diluted it so many times over, that there was nothing left of it in the water. When he introduced this water to living cells, he found it still created an allergic reaction. This wasn’t news to the homeopathic community for whom the entire basis of homeopathic medicine is founded on this dilution principle. Homeopathic remedies are prepared by what is termed ‘a system of dilution and succession’, in which vigorous shaking is involved. And while science cannot understand how it works, the proof of its efficacy has been found in the laboratory, where its effect on the biology of human beings is clearly documented.
These peculiar characteristics of water were examined in greater depth, when in the 1990′s, Masaru Emoto, Doctor of Alternative Medicine and Head of the I.H.M. General Research Institute Inc., performed a series of experiments with water, observing the changes in its crystalline structure. Placing water in different containers, jars, glasses and bowls, he photographed the water crystals as different genres of music were played and prayers were chanted. He observed what occurred when different emotive words were written on the water containers, and examined what happened when the environmental factors were changed. The results were staggering and can be seen in the photographs below. But just before you look at them, consider the implications of this information by reading the next paragraph and reminding yourself of a few things.
Water, as we all know, is vital to human life, our bodies comprising around 98% as embryos, 60-70% as adults, and decreasing in volume as we get older. As well as transporting life-sustaining nutrients to different parts of the body, it also plays a cleansing role, removing toxins via the different systems of the body, and providing moist conditions to ear, nose and throat. To replenish our bodies, we need to drink around eight glasses of water a day. When looking at Dr. Emoto’s photographs, consider the environment in which you cook, the mood of the people around you, and the words they use to express their feelings. Do you create a healthy environment in terms of how people feel? Could it be improved? Let’s look at the photos:
THE IMPACT OF WORDS ON WATER CRYSTALS
Consider: Do you swear a lot? Do you say vicious things? All can impact the people around you and can influence the food and drink in the vicinity. A positive thing to do is write words like ‘love’ and ‘healing’ on your water/drink containers.
‘Love and gratitude’
‘You make me sick’
IMPACT OF PRAYER ON WATER CRYSTALS
Consider: If you are prayerful, you could pray over your food before you eat it, or pray for long periods of time (in a group) over water for people who are sick.
CRYSTAL BEFORE PRAYER
CRYSTAL AFTER PRAYER
IMPACT OF MUSIC ON WATER CRYSTALS
Consider: We’re all entitled to our musical choices, and for those in the family who like more ‘dark’ music, you could make sure that at some point in the day they were exposed to gentle background healing music.
‘YESTERDAY’ BY THE BEATLES
KOWACHI FOLK DANCE
BACH’S ‘AIR FOR THE G-STRING’
DIFFERENT WATER SOURCES
Consider: You could ask friends or relatives visiting sacred water locations to bring a small bottle home for you. Remember the dilution methods above? You could follow those instructions and have holy water around all the time.
